A few examples of my work to date:
1920’s English Pendulum wall Timepiece
5 Star – Excellent “Chris has repaired two clocks for me. The service was quick. Will definitely bring him some more. Very professional and you’d recommend 100%”
Here we have a lovely wall clock from the 1920’s which had a broken suspension spring & a mainspring slipping on its arbour.
Replace the mainspring. made a new suspension spring & fully serviced the timepiece.
As can be seen from the slideshow & video it is now fully restored and ticking along nicely
Ansonio Pendulum wall clock 1880’s ish
This movement was hidden behind a Seth Thomas round wall clock face.
It doesn’t go into a round case as the intended pendulum length is too long for the case.
As you can see it was in a dreadful state, it had a broken count wheel lever, broken springs & untouched for decades.
Cleaned, polished & repaired & serviced it is ticking along & chiming as designed.
Victorian cocktail watch
5 star – “Excellent I had an old Victorian watch which I thought would never work again but I was wrong. Chris did an exceptional job and even found a crystal which he made fit the watch face. I am beyond happy. It works so well. It was fixed quickly, I cannot recommend Chris enough. Thank you”
Mums Cocktail watch
Mums cocktail watch was in very poor condition as it had been in the washing up bowl once too often. I had to replace a broken wheel plus the main , hair & click springs because all had rust damage. It was well worth the time & effort & seeing it tick again brought back fond memories..
Jappy Freres Slate Mantle clock
This was a joy to work on, it had been neglected for a long time with no case detail visible as it was so unloved
I completely striped, cleaned & serviced the movement & fully restored the slate case.
The end result is quite striking
